Doughwallet is a self-custody Dogecoin wallet. Your privacy is fundamental to how the app is designed. We do not operate servers, collect personal data, or track your activity.

Data We Collect

None. Doughwallet does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. Specifically:

  • We do not collect your name, email, phone number, or any identifying information
  • We do not track your location
  • We do not collect analytics or usage data within the app
  • We do not use advertising or ad tracking
  • We do not use cookies

How the App Works

Doughwallet connects directly to the Dogecoin peer-to-peer network using Simplified Payment Verification (SPV). This means:

  • Your wallet's private keys are generated and stored exclusively on your device in the iOS keychain
  • Your private keys never leave your device and are never transmitted to us or any third party
  • Transaction data is sent directly to the Dogecoin network, not through our servers
  • Your recovery phrase is stored only on your device

Network Communications

The app communicates with:

  • Dogecoin network peers — to sync blockchain data and broadcast transactions. This is the standard Dogecoin protocol and reveals your IP address to network peers, as with any Dogecoin wallet.
  • Exchange rate API — to fetch current DOGE/fiat exchange rates for display purposes. No personal data is sent with these requests.

Camera Access

The app requests camera access solely to scan QR codes containing Dogecoin payment addresses. Camera data is processed locally on your device and is never recorded, stored, or transmitted.

Third-Party Services

Doughwallet does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

Data Security

All sensitive wallet data is protected by:

  • AES hardware encryption provided by iOS
  • iOS app sandboxing
  • iOS keychain services for private key storage
  • Apple's code signing and data protection framework

Children's Privacy

Doughwallet does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this privacy policy, the revised version will be posted on this page with an updated date.
